As the state budget process unfolds, some lawmakers are looking at cuts and changes to this proven and effective program, which could put hundreds of thousands of Michiganders at risk of losing access to affordable and vital dental care. Research shows that lack of access to preventative dental care can lead to worse healthcare outcomes overall, and increase the possibility that dangerous infections and other diseases will spread.
